Off-form concrete, glass and recycled brick around a garden atrium.
The Arc is a completed freestanding home at 299 Simpson Street, Bondi Beach, designed by Pinnacle Design Architects and built by Merc.Build in a palette of off-form concrete, commercial-grade glass and recycled brick. A lush garden atrium punches through both levels of the house, so greenery reads from almost every room; polished concrete floors and exposed brickwork give the whole-floor living space its urban-coastal character. The kitchen is a streamlined entertainer's piece in Black Tempal stone with Miele appliances, opening to a travertine terrace and a plunge pool finished in Black Russian mosaic tiles. Four bedrooms occupy the upper level behind electric blinds and a custom pivot entry, with a natural stone bath and Carrara marble basins in the main bathroom. Finished with a 6.5kW solar array, The Arc now trades as one of Bondi's most photographed luxury stays — proof of a build detailed to be lived in hard and looked at often.
