Rosebery was laid out as a garden suburb a century ago, spent decades as Sydney's quiet industrial workhorse, and has re-emerged as one of the inner south's most sought-after addresses — Art Deco factories turned design studios, cafés in converted warehouses, and residential streets minutes from Green Square, the airport and the eastern beaches. Its wide blocks and mixed streetscape make it one of the best rebuild opportunities inside ten kilometres of the CBD.
Alder — our current Rosebery project
Alder, at 79 Harcourt Parade, is a pair of one-of-a-kind residences composed as twin gabled pavilions in black Colorbond Klip-Lok cladding over a base of Bowral Blue brick. Inside, the palette is warm where the exterior is dark: antique-white oak floors, Hazel Oak joinery, Breccia Cascade marble and brushed bronze tapware throughout. Alder is under construction now, with completion scheduled in 2026 — the clearest statement of what we think building in Rosebery should be.
From garden suburb to design district
Rosebery's original garden-suburb bungalows sit on generous blocks that its industrial-era zoning left largely untouched — which today means room to build properly. Under City of Sydney planning controls, we design new homes and duplexes that hold the street's low-scale rhythm while delivering the volume, light and garden connection the original stock never had.
Building for the inner south's conditions
The inner south rewards robust, low-maintenance construction: quality brick, standing-seam metal and powder-coated steel that shrug off aircraft-corridor grime and westerly sun alike.
